Medium Sheesham Wooden Tic Tac Toe Game · Budhni Lacquerware

Turned on a hand lathe in Budhni, on the banks of the Narmada, from soft local wood and coloured with natural lac. As the wood spins, artisans press sticks of coloured lac against it until the heat of friction leaves a smooth, glowing finish.

Shown here in natural wood tones. Chosen piece by piece for Saptadhārā.
