Sindoori Batik Print Cotton Double Bed Sheet with Two Pillow Covers

Batik is made by drawing or stamping molten wax onto cloth before dyeing, layer by layer. Where the wax cracks, fine veins of colour seep in, giving each piece its own texture.

Caring for it

• Dry clean for the first wash; afterwards gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent.
• Dry in shade and iron on the reverse at low heat, never directly on zari or print.
• Store folded in muslin, away from damp and direct sun.

Each piece is waxed, dyed and boiled by hand, so its pattern is one of a kind. Made by hand, so small irregularities are a mark of the maker, not a flaw.
