Wooden Hath Gaadi Toy · Budhni Lacquerware
Rs. 300.00 INR
Turned on a hand lathe in Budhni, on the banks of the Narmada, from soft local wood and coloured with natural lac. As the wood spins, artisans press sticks of coloured lac against it until the heat of friction leaves a smooth, glowing finish.
Shown here in green pea. Chosen piece by piece for Saptadhārā.
In the box: 1 Wooden Hath Gaadi (Push Toy with Handle)
Caring for it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Keep away from water and prolonged direct sun.
- Avoid harsh cleaners.
Free of synthetic paint and safe to handle. Made by hand, so small irregularities are a mark of the maker, not a flaw.
